So the new 4in iPhone could be an iPhone 6 mini and therefore priced $100 less than the 6 or a 5se replacing the 5s at $200 less.

An iPhone 6 mini would extend the range and be an attractive upgrade for those that prefer the smaller form factor, and add to the unit sales without decreasing the ASP. If Apple also launches a 5se, it would allow them to sell the 5s in markets like India and Brazil at a reduced cost, in the same way they sold the 5 and 4. Refurbished iPhones will also add to market share.

If this happens the base iPhone for the ecosystem will be the 5s and, given how many have been sold and it’s 64 bit, that makes sense.
