Yes thats fair… The issue is that overall wearables continue to be TINY in terms of unit shipments and that will not change until a proper use for them has been found….

LTE in iWatch appeals to fitness enthusiasts, which, as you pointed out, is the main draw for iWatch users in the first place. Are you a runner? Running with your phone, especially a big iPhone, is very inconvenient and now that the watch has an LTE chip there will be no need to bring my phone along for runs which is a huge plus and what I have been waiting for the iWatch to roll out. Same goes for a number of other sports and fitness activities like weight-lifting, etc. I will be buying one and I know a lot of other people that are excited about this feature as well.

Apple Watch: with Tim Cook saying that Apple is now the no. 1 watch company (presumably in revenue, overtaking Rolex) and was up 50% YOY last quarter, wearables are looking like a good growth area for Apple. When they are broken out from other products, we will have a better idea.
