I have also had the opinion that Xiaomi’s ecosystem is not about the smartphone and software and services, but about the wider range of products it has or wants to offer. And I think with its Mi home strategy, it is going in that direction. it had backfired earlier when air purifiers didn’t go too well with the customers and had a negative impact on smartphones too, but if Xiaomi can get this straight now, the whole ecosystem story could fall into place.
